About the Manchester United Supporters Trust
Our objective is simple. We envisage a future where the supporters of Manchester United FC have a meaningful ownership stake in the club. Click the link above to read how we intend to do this, and why we think we will succeed.
Supporter ownership is a reality in clubs across the world, but it means different things to different people. Here's what it means to us.
The 1998-99 season saw the greatest achievement in the history of football. But it was also noteworthy for a David v Goliath victory in which a small group of supporter-shareholders helped knock back MUFC's takeover by Rupert Murdoch and BSkyB. Click the link above to read about the history of the group that began as Shareholders United Against Murdoch (SU-AM).
MUST is a democratic, not-for-profit organisation of United supporters in the mould of supporters' trusts across the UK. But what this really means is that we're supporters -- just like you. Read more about the people that keep us going.
MUST is entirely volunteer-run as a labour of love for the club. Click the link above to find out more about the people our members have elected to the MUST steering committee.
We are fortunate indeed to have celebrities and current and former players who are equally committed to the future we envision for our club. Click the link above to see the familiar faces who believe in an independent United.
MUST are proud to honour the men who originally started the organisation as 'Shareholders United Against Murdoch'
