Arsenal v Liverpool will NOT be played at 4pm on Xmas Eve

October 10 2017

Premier League chairman Richard Scudamore has confirmed that Liverpool’s away clash with Arsenal will not be played at 4pm on Christmas Eve, but did not rule out the possibility that the game could be played earlier in the day on December 24th.

Duncan Drasdo from the Manchester United Supporters Trust met with Scudamore as part of a regular fixture of meetings to give fans the chance to discuss issues with the Premier League and the topic of Christmas Eve fixtures came up.

There have been concerns that Liverpool’s game with Arsenal, currently scheduled for Saturday December 23rd, will be moved by Sky so it can be shown on TV.

With limited travel services operating on Christmas Eve, the prospect of a late kick-off in London would not be ideal for supporters wishing to attend the game.

However, there is still a likely possibility that the game will be moved to either lunchtime or 2pm on Christmas Eve, which would be a far from satisfactory outcome.
